Founders & Senior Pastors
PJ & Kathy Hanley are the founders and current senior pastors of Banner of Love Church, Houston.
They are the founding pastors of Banner of Love Church in Port Ewen, NY which they planted together with their family in 1996. They have three grown married children, eight beautiful grandchildren and one great grandchild. PJ also founded Understanding Bible Prophecy, with a vision to equip the church for the end of the age. Having handed over senior leadership of BOL Port Ewen, NY to their son Michael, PJ & Kathy now oversee Banner of Love Ministries spending much of their time traveling internationally to teach seminars, minister healing, train and equip leaders, and to plant and foster churches. In 2012, they planted a new BOL church in Wicklow, Ireland with local pastors Kyle & Rachel Chahanovich. And in 2018 they relocated to Houston, Texas to plant BOL, Houston.
PJ has authored many books, and is constantly developing new materials for Banner of Love Ministries which can be found in our shop.
Associate Pastors
Joe and Christy Thompson were sent out in 2018 as part of a team from the church in Port Ewen, NY, to plant the church in Houston, TX. Over the years they’ve served faithfully as deacons, youth leaders, and in children’s ministry, first in New York and later in the Texas church. Together they have a gift for exhortation, teaching, and discipleship and are passionate about gathering and equipping the Bride for Christ’s soon return.
Associate Administrative Pastors
Jonathan & Regina Comer were sent out in 2018 as part of a team from the church in Port Ewen, NY, to plant the church in Houston, TX. Both Jon and Regina are gifted in helps and administration, as well as in hospitality. Their love and care for others motivates them to provide the practical, technical, “nuts and bolts” support that every church needs
